We replace old, rusted and leaking metal roofs with new COLORBOND® steel roofing, taking care of everything from removing the existing roof through to the final installation.
Not every roofing issue means you need a complete replacement, but as your roof gets older, ongoing repairs can become less effective and more costly. If you’re noticing problems across multiple areas of your roof, it may be time to consider replacing it.
A metal roof replacement is more than simply swapping old sheets for new ones. We remove your existing roofing and inspect the roof underneath, allowing us to identify any issues that need attention before your new roof is installed.
Once everything is ready, we install your new COLORBOND® steel roofing along with the required sarking, fixings, flashings and cappings. The result is a complete new roofing system, rather than continuing to repair individual problems as they appear.
We work exclusively with COLORBOND® steel for our metal roof replacements. It’s a material we know and trust, and one that is well suited to Australian homes and conditions.
COLORBOND® steel is designed and tested to perform in Australia’s sun, wind and changing weather. Many colours also use solar-reflective technology to help manage heat from the sun.
It’s lighter weight places less load on the roof structure while still providing a strong roofing system.
It’s steel construction and protective coatings help it withstand exposure to the elements over time.
Once installed, COLORBOND® steel requires relatively little ongoing maintenance.
There are a variety of colours available to suit different homes, roof styles and exterior finishes.
We inspect your existing metal roof, including the roof sheets, battens, flashings, drainage and any areas showing signs of rust, leaks or water damage. This helps us understand the condition of the existing roof and what will be required for the replacement.
We discuss your COLORBOND® steel colour, roofing profile and any other materials required for the replacement. We’ll also plan the installation and coordinate any documentation required before work begins.
Your existing roof sheets, flashings and fixings are carefully removed and discarded, giving us access to inspect the structure underneath before the new roof goes on.
We address any issues uncovered once the existing roof is removed, replace damaged battens where required and prepare the roof for the new sarking and roofing system.
Your new COLORBOND® steel roofing is installed along with the required fixings, flashings, cappings and other components to create a complete, watertight roofing system.
Once installation is complete, we inspect the finished roof, check the roofing, fixings, flashings and drainage, and clean up the site before the job is complete.
Most metal roof replacements take several days to complete, although the timeframe will depend on the size and complexity of your roof, site access and weather conditions. We’ll give you an expected timeframe before work begins.
In most cases, yes. You can usually remain in your home while your metal roof is being replaced, although there will be noise and activity throughout the day. We’ll let you know beforehand if there’s anything you need to be aware of during the work.
Once the existing roofing is removed, we can properly assess the battens and underlying roof structure. If we uncover damage that needs to be repaired before the new roof can be installed, we’ll discuss this with you before carrying out additional work.
If asbestos-containing materials are identified, they need to be safely removed by appropriately licensed professionals before roofing work can continue. We’ll explain what’s required and how this may affect the project before proceeding.
COLORBOND® steel is covered by manufacturer warranties, with the applicable warranty depending on the product, application and location. Our roofing installation is also covered by a workmanship warranty, with the relevant warranty information provided for your project.
If your existing roof is showing its age, has ongoing leaks or is becoming difficult to maintain, we can assess its condition and talk you through the next steps.
